I started gardening outside more this year. Quarantine made it easier, since I was working from home. But for my mental health I still had to be outside, but socially distant.
In the front, we have a very nice dogwood tree, which we use as the focal point for our stone-enclosed front garden. I wanted sustainable plants that would be hearty choices, even if I was no longer working from home.
We ended up with a lot of rosemary–smells soooo good! We tried a couple of other herbs at the same time, but none of them took off as well as the rosemary, so we ended up with some gorgeous butterfly bushes, juniper, and autumn joy.
Now that I have made it past all that terrible weed removal, so that we can actually see the ground, it’s quite fun out there! 😀
